Well i went and tried to find out why my car was running horrible. A bunch of lines were torn up and stuff, i think that was the problem. I called porsche they said that i could tape them temporarly until we get new lines. I taped them and put everything back together, now the car will only start for a second or two and dies, even if i give it gas. Does anybody know whats wrong? All of the vacuum lines are in correctly. I taped up the hose that goes from the idle stabilzer to the intake manifold (theres a little piece of metal that connects that hose to the intake manifold and its really beat up. Could that be it).
Any help would be awesome thanks.

tape didnt do the trick. I've tried, its not easy... go buy the stuff and replace it, or else you dont have a car till then. tape is nearly hopeless.

Check for an intake-leak near the AFM. If air doesn't flow through the AFM, you won't get an accurate air-flow signal and you'll be too lean. Also check the wiring-plug for the AFM. If it's disconnected, or the wire is broken along the way, the DME still squirts a little fuel to crank and start, but then if it doesn't see the AFM signal, it turns off the car.
