Default Who Drew the Bullseye on my car!

Ok, this is just getting annoying:

4/6/02: 3 days after buying car...following a truck & large stone shatters windsheild. $500 & 1 day

12/1/02: Accident happens in front of me, go to avoid side-swiping van spinning in front of me & "kiss" the gaurdrail. Repairs: $5300 & 3 months

3/28/04: Install Iceshark Light Kit

4/4/04: Iceshark light kits save me by being able to avoid a deer at ~80mph

4/5/04: Following a truck & 30lb hunk of metal falls off & hits front end. Still awaiting repairs, estimate for $3700, 1 new Cibie Light down

5/1/04: Rock off another truck cracks windsheild. Not as severe as 1st time, but still needs to be addressed

5/5/04: Yet another rock (PEOPLE CLEAN YOUR CARS) cracks YET ANOTHER Cibie Light.

In 1 month's time I've gone from having a near-mint (concours) car to having a front bumper held on with duct tape, a smashed headlight stuck in the up position & a cracked windsheild.

btw, Dan, I'm going to need ANOTHER Cibie light....but this time I'm going to wait until after I get the duct tape off the front end to address it (since I'm paying for this one).

Scootin,

Sounds like you need to leave a little more distance between you and the truck in front.

Can't wait to see what my insurance is next time....granted none of them are my fault, but I'm sure over $20k in claims in 3 years time won't help any. (I had a claim on 3/27/02 that WAS (well at least that's how it was found after 3 months of in/out of court) my fault for ~$10,000.....ran a stop sign that wasn't there, but should've been....it was lying in the ditch at the time).

hmm...maybe I should make that argument to my insurance company. They already bought me a fibewerks front end because I said it would be cheeper than a factory front end (which it was)...so maybe if I say a turbo would be cheeper because I wouldn't get hit if I can pass & get in front of them....hmm...

What the heck...now I just noticed that the spare tire well has collapsed from something hitting it underneeth. Oh well...that should be easy to fix with a big hammer. What should I use to 'repair' the underbody coating in that area.

Man! You have got to have the worst luck of anyone I know. And on a car that parts cost twice as much as most others. I was wondering also just how close you follow people. I have seen alot of drivers that ride peoples butt's all the time. Some people don't even realize that they are so close to the car in front of them. Law states to be back one car lenght at least for every 10 miles per hour. Well anyway, I sure hope your luck improves and you get your car fixed back to original condition.

You can purchase rubberized undercoating in an spray can. It typically works pretty well.
