guess the owner is just lazy. i had mine like that but it really annoyed me coz i can't see the rear, and it an open invitation for someone to steal it. can't cover it up. so i learned to form fiber glass and made my own. and still retain the space for the roof panel.
hmmmmm. why not steal the car too while i'm at it. you know.

if it was DIY, then fine. but professional installers did that??

Amps run hot enough as it is, without being in the sun too. I especially like the custom L brackets holding down the box, nice.

Bet the hold down screws went into the gas tank. E-mail him and ask if he has gas fumes in the car.
