'83 Rear Sway Option
Ok I have done a search and I need an answer. My '83 has a rear sway bar but it is NOT listed on my option sheet in the rear. I bought the car from the 2nd owner and have contacted the original owner. Both said the sway bar was factory and NOT added by either one of them. The PO replaced the rear shocks with some KYB's and does not know what he replaced. I don't have the sport option either (although I do have sport seats and it's on my option sheet

What is the size of the bar? 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, or 19mm? You can measure it with a vernier caliper to get a ballpark figure.
If the bar is 14mm, then that part of the M404 option code for cars made between '83 through '86.
If the bar is 14mm, then that part of the M404 option code for cars made between '83 through '86.

That's fine, but where is that option code listed? It's not on my option sheet...

My 83 lists the "404" (F/R sways) on my option tag near the hatch. I checked before and there were no "packages" only additional dealer installed options.
