the day started out very poorly w/ some good rain and w/ temps at 41degrees it wasnt promising that we were going to get to race on kilkares slick drag strip. About 12 drivers registered dispite the weather and by noon the rain had stopped and we started preparing for some fun. Since my gf took these pics, most are of me....but i did do very well, even on my street tires she was hooking very very well. BEst time of the day was a supercharged miata at 66.?? seconds. my best time was a 73.?? sec.

only a couple of air coolers there, three 968's, two 944's, a 924s, 951 and a miata.....what else....?

 

jeff on one of his runs in the 924s...up till he spun out he was doing well for his first time out. Then he sat his last turn out...come on Dale....he doesnt have a hair on his arss!!!!

 

the miata did very well, but on his first run, some cold tires caused this little display of evil kinevil-ness, ending in only a kiss with the wall and some paint scuffage.

 

The Miata was chock full of aftermarket goodies.. Was interesting to see Bud put the little "girl's car that noone could beat" Miata into the guardrail however That Miata sounded tough. very quick

I'm still cold. XBoost did the watercoolers proud- beating the heavy breathers.

Most amazing turnout? the 968 crowd. awesome cars.. lots of torque.

 

Those metal walls would make me pretty nervous. Not the best situation for feeling out the limits of your car...

You're still cold, think of that fool who showed up in shorts....oh wait, that was me . Oh well, it was a good day and I am starting to sort out this car a little. Just a little fine tuning so that the KLA's don't rattle and clank distracting me with the reindexing and an alignment and I think this car will be ready to dance.

Humm.. I was just looking for the pic of my marks... can't find it. Scary how similar both spins are.
