Yeah. Kgain968 let me drive his car up the sea2sky highway.

you know what? I think I'd trade in a heartbeat.

I'd have to turbo the car, but I'd trade in a heartbeat.

I could not believe how much more REFINED the 968 seemed in comparison to my 951. Granted his car is a '94 and mines an '86 - so you'd expect some improvements, but the difference is not negligable!!

Why the HELL is it, that his car, with 17" wheels, doesn't tramline, and is dead stable on the road, whereas my car with the same 17's seeks road ruts like a Hellfire missle goes after tanks??

Anyways, one hell of a nice ride that 968.

There's definitely something about a 968 -- I dunno if it's refined or just plain newer -- my 968 feels brand spanking new, while my 944 feels like a tired 17yr old car...

It's both. I could have owned the 94 968 on the UCR web site plus change for what I've got into my 951.

On the tramline issue I suggest you change out your wheel bearings. My 968 had a slight tendency to follow ruts with 18s, but after I changed the wheel bearings it disappeared. The parts will cost ~ $50 so give it a try!

I'm curious as to how it compares to a 993 (normally aspirated). To me, the one word that sums up the 993's character would be uncompromising. The thing just behaved like a terminator, sheerly awesome.

Haven't driven, or rode, in a 968, but sure would like to try now. I just assumed they would feel like one step up after an S2.
