Since when is the proper pronunciation of a word left to opinion? This is like saying "Porsh." Shall we have a poll on that?

Christian...If you were saying it, wouldn't it be "foochs", with the ch making a soft "k" sound?

Yes it would. However the soft "k" sound you are speaking of would be a rolling of the back of your tounge.

Since when did I ask for someones opinion on how the word is said? Maybe read the question a little better and you may understand that I am asking what everyone THOUGHT the pronounciation of the word was BEFORE they learned the correct pronounciation. It's not that hard to figure out...

We had this debate on pelican, someone pointed us to a phonic german dictionary on the web.
The pronunciation there was like "took" or "look" which became ***** (not rhyming with puke or luke). That's how I've said it.
