944Fest (aka Dan P)

An update for those interested in 944fest 04. As you should know, we'll be gathering in Lebanon, OH July 3rd and 4th 2004 at Casa Fishey. I'm heading down there next weekend to "case the joint" and make some plans. Mark your calendars and look for an invite if you are on my mailing list. I've leaked an announcement to Autoweek (!?!?) and will let the local PCA regions know, hopefully they'll give us a blurb in their newsletters. My target is 50 cars (!!) and 80ish people. I'll be negotiating the Sunday brunch menu with the caterers, (thanks, Wade!) I'm leaning toward a cajun theme. I've slightly upgraded 944fest.com, and will be working to get more sponsors and door prizes. I think this year we're ready for Tshirts and maybe some other logo merchandise. As always, the event is free but open for donations. I'm told we've got plenty of tent pitching space.. I plan on surveying the local Knights Inn for possible recommendations.
Here is what I ask of you. If you plan on attending, post a reply. Let me know if you want a T-shirt, and what sizes. I'm not taking orders, just gauging interest. Is $20 fair for a quality shirt? Who has connections for printing up 30 or 40 garmets? I need to say in advance, IF King John does make an appearance we'll need to limit the autograph session to 30 minutes OR the first 100 customers, which ever comes first.
After Fest 03, I feel confident promising my guests and event like no other.. One they will never forget!!

Dan P, just a thought.. Maybe a few of them t-shirts in baby sizes, like Onesies for Olivia... I bet they would be a big hit in your house!

2 XL's. maybe 3.

BTW- I'll have my baby son with me this year. He's 6'2" and will be in the back seat of the '24S with his head sticking out the roof. SEE- Kids DO fit back there..

I wouldn't miss it for anything! I have a contact for you for the shirts. I have used this company for 3 years for my softball uniforms and 4 years for company shirts. I will certainly be in for a t-shirt as well "XXL" here.

I'll be there. In fact, I'll be there early to help set up or whatever else is needed. I'm about 30-40 minutes away and I have room at my place for anyone who needs it. I'll have garage space for 1 car available.

For those of you closer to Texas, by all means feel free to hit the hit the Parade. Since the events are 1000 miles apart I didn't really think it would be that much of a decision for folks.. (except for Scott.) Unfortunately there is no flexability with the date.
