Thumbs up Why Rennlist is so cool! (well, one reason anyway)

Every time I try to use another forum, or news group to find information, the most interesting threads turn into this:

"What's the best portable vacuum for a car?
I like brand X, because it's small, and works great!
I like brand X too, but found it's accessories are flimsy, if that matters
I would steer clear of brand X--it really isn't a good vacuum.
Do you own this vacuum, or are you just blessing us with your infinite wisdom?
F-you! I own it...does your mother?
Don't be immature--my mother does own it, by the way.
Your mother is a moron, and so are you!"

Etc, etc etc! Same result, 90% of the time! But here, there is civil conversation and exchange of knowledge every day, all day! No nasty comments, no threads turning into flame wars!

Rennlist rules!

i liked the STD questions on the mullet board.

I swear it went something like this "my buddy and i got drunk met this older (25) drunk chick i got seconds, did i catch anything"

maybe i will do a search later so you guys can get the whole story.

I hope you gave him a laundry list of the things he had to have caught!

Edit; this made more sense before Tom edited his post, thanks Tom

Maybe it's better not too!!

But to Andy's point: except for the occasional "How do I turbo my n/a" and the occasional street racing debates, this board is quite civil. I guess that Porsche does attract a different group of people.

Gotta run: I feel a street racing thread being created even as I write this!!

Let me guess which thread you are referring to...The only one with a swear right in the thread title?

I agree rennlist rules - and one of those reasons i think is that John D. and everyone else here are really classy people. Very little swearing and mean spirited attacks etc. Most people are good at just ignoring things or letting them roll off their backs.

Yeah that's probably the reason you see so many OT posts about other makes and stuff on here, cuz if you go ask over there that's what you're going to get. Here if somebody knows they'll tell you, and that's it.

This really is a great group here

A few times I've said the guys on this board (well, most of them) are:

"Friends that haven't met yet".

That is to say, if we all lived around the same area and ran into each other casually we would find we had a lot in common, maybe even beyond our cars and would consider each other friends. I think that is what I like best about Rennlist

We really need to make sure Tom gets another Porsche before he sells his house and buys a "trailer"

I think we may be too late!!

Last time I saw him, he was proudly displaying his gold chains on his sexy, hairy chest!
