Question Would a 951 front end conversion tutorial help anyone?

OK, I will be finally starting on this over the weekend.

Saturday afternoon is teardown day. The N/A header panel, headlight covers, bumper and valance are coming off.

Sunday afternoon the fenders will be modified, and the 951 parts and splitter go on.

Would anyone benefit from a lot of photos, a tutorial, and a "parts required" list? And, if so, do I need to start with the tear down info, or start the tutorial from the point of modification and installation only?

If there isn't any interest, then I will just post pics of the finished product........

PS: Before anyone asks, the vented 931 header panel has already been sold to a fellow Rennlister. The car currently has the old N/A header panel on it. I will be keeping all of the old N/A front end parts as I am going to be putting them to use on another little project later in the year.

You might as well just post it, I did mine, it was fairly simple and straight through.

Really? I could have sworn that I haven't seen a good tutorial posted with all of the info I mentioned. I have seen pics of the finished product and some commentary from some 'listers, but nothing comprehensive.

Oh, I wrote that wrong. I meant the install was fairly simple, I never wrote a tutorial. Sorry

I would like to see a how-to. I'm still unclear as to exactly howmany parts/modifications are required to do this.

Yes, you are correct Jon!

I have the other parts as well from a few donor 951's (fogs, turnsignals, header panel, headlight covers, bumper brace, bumper shocks, etc little misc bits).

Progress is ongoing. I still need to do some custom wiring (plugs are different on 951 lights verses 944 lights). Hope to be done in the next day or so.

Hey Cory,

The splitter and bumper match pretty good with the rest of the car, but the header panel and headlight covers are slightly off. That's OK, the car has really been more about function instead of form for awhile. I hope to have all of the body stuff wrapped up in the next 6 months and then it gets all one shade of guards red applied to it.

On the splitter, I still need to fix a few small cracks in it tomorrow, near the rear corners. Hence the little bit of red duct tape.

Sam----sorry we missed ya yesterday! How was the rest of your trip?
