stupid wheel bearing question

Default stupid wheel bearing question

the seal for the inner bearing i got from paragon looks slightly different from the ones i already had, and i can't tell which way to put the new one in. does the direction matter?

If you're talking about the front bearings, the open side goes in, IIRC.

that's what it looked like to me (by open side i think you mean the side with more of the "dent" in it, and the rubber closer to the surface, the other side being flatter) but my old ones, which were slightly different as i said, looked like they were the other way around.

If I recall correctly, the brand name always goes out.
