Question Water Leak on Driver's Side by Fusebox

April showers bring...leaks.

There is a leak at the driver's side kick panel - enough to wet the carpet in front of the e-brake. When I pulled out the hatch release switch, there was moisture in that hole, too.

What's the likely source for this leak? Should I blow out the drainage port by the fusebox with some compressed air? How many drainage port are there on that side of the car?

Also, will water seep in around the fusebox itself?

Thanks in advance...

Sometimes a hole is drilled throught the side of the fuse/relay box to run alarm and/or heavy wires for a sound system. Check around this box. Also check to see if it's seal is intact and not loose or pinched off.

There's two drains in this area. One goes from besides the fusebox down through the fender & the other comes from the sunroof, down the a pillar & out under the fender.

The sunroof one is obvious to find, but the fusebox one is basically just a 'gap' it goes through (pour water beside the fuse box (NOT IN IT)) and see where it goes.

Also, don't use compressed air as it will most likely just pop the drain hose off whatever it's connected to & make you have to take the whole thing apart.
