Angry Can't find stupid tool....getting angry...

I cannot for the life of me find any place that has a 7mm Flare Nut wrench so I can bleed my stupid slave cylander...this is getting EXTREMLY aggrivating. I have called every hardware store within 60 miles...and every auto store...every...well...every store that would carry one. The only place that carries one that small only sells it in a set that is like...$300 or something like that....anybody know a place I can get one or can let me borrow one or somethign!!!

Just use the 12 point one. I'm telling you it works, and I'm assuming you put a new slave in, so the bleeder valve isn't over tightened. You can get a cheap wrench set a t wal-mart for like $10, it has 7-17 mm wrenches in it. I bought it just for that little fu*ckin wrench too.

I wander why I have 2 of those...... I was in the same situation and told myself I never want to be in the same situation again. I have duplicates of just about every tool and triplicate in some for situations exactly like what you describe.

I used a regular hand wrench as well, broke it loose with the box end and then put the loop over it and just turned it while bleeding.....lol....I didn't even know I was supposed to have a flare wrench to do it

I also used a standard open end 6 point. I did not know about line wrenches at the time. It was easier to open than the bleed valves on the calipers.

I've never seen a 7mm flarenut wrench. Its hard enough to find a 7mm open or boxend.

What amazes me is that Harbor Freight and Northern Hardware can sell stuff this cheap. I know these wrenches are made in asia where labor is cheap, but they still have to get that raw material, make the wrenches, and ship them to the store. And they apparently make a profit.

Ya, and most of em are soft as butter too... The work ok for a "once in a while" type thing, but for regular wrenching quality is the only way to go.
Crafstman has the 7mm combo wrench as well as Snap-On.
Have fun,
Bill

The Craftsman 7mm combo is $7. If you just need that one tool, its the way to go. If you join the "Tool Club", you get 10% off all Craftsman stuff the last week of the month (actually the week may vary, I'm not sure).

Never had a problem with Craftsman stuff, except those damned snap ring pliers.
