944 door lock cylinder seals?
Hi Folks- I'm in the process of restoring my beloved 86 944 and building a brand new 86 951... it's been a long journey with both of these cars but that's another post!
Lately i've been having a lot of quality issues with genuine parts from porsche classic.. like the following issue with new lock cylinders...
i'm rebuilding my door handles- the lever and the lock were both sloppy on the driver side... getting the pin was easy, finding the e-clips- not bad, new seals, easy! but all new handles with or without keys are blank and low quality. not jetta bad, but chinese knockoff bad... worse, they are incomplete! they are missing the lock cylinder seal
and now i'm really confused about it...111837227B.. which is NLA
it's ( i think) the rubber seal, though it's listed as plastic with most places:

here's a side by side of the new and old cylinders, note the rubber seal on the old one.
the seal is rubber and has to stretch or it can't be put on. this is the only intact one i have ever seen IRL (i used to work at a porsche shop in NJ in college).
ok, so it's NLA and rubber, right?
so why, if you search, is the only product you can find these aluminum ones at Autoatlanta?
has anyone ordered these? can anyone explain?
does anyone have a 3d model of this rung i could print w a 3d printer?
thanks!

I did the same thing DSMblue did, used an o ring. If memory serves correctly, which it might not, it had an o ring there and not the piece you are showing. I am sure I would have tried to order the piece you are showing if I found that there. This could be because the previous owner did that or Porsche changed it in later years (I have a '91). I am too lazy to look it up in PET
