Need the rear metal timing cover for a 968/s2. Does rennbay still make these?

Pretty sure it is unobtainium.

They stopped making them, I hunted a long time for a set. When I had my S engine in I had to settle for non-cracked oem. It partially helped my decision for the v8 swap as the cost for unique parts are getting high and harder to find.

They are available from Delaware Porsche for about $358; Sunset for $383. This was a bad Porsche design (like many, LOL) since the head is aluminum, the cover is magnesium and the bolts are steel, so you get galvanic corrosion.

My dealer tried to sell me this and then canceled my order because the 3 that are coming from Germany are spoken for already. Now they are on backorder.

made this in solidworks and test printing it with pla to check my dimensions. It should definitely be made out of metal.

Default 3D printed cover

Hi there, how did your test 3d print turn out? I too need to replace my cracked and distorted cover, and i was also looking at some of the new specialist filaments (such as ApolloX shown in this video
). Was your concerns that it needed to be metal based on temperature or strength concerns primarily? It would be great if you'd be prepared to share your model btw,

How did you import the part into solid works? Did you 3D scan it or manually measure? Im curious.
