Default leather shift boots revisited, Anyone from Rennbay please read

Ok the new shift boot I ordered has some elastic around the bottom making it too thick to fit around the tiny grip that the retaining clip has. The old leather one out of my car has this really really thin, stitched lip that made it fit like a glove around. Anyone know where I can get one like that? Or do Rennbay's boots have a small lip similar to that where they fit easy and snug and don't come falling out? I broke 2 retaining clips trying to get the elastic one on and some how the broken one is sticking in the car. I need to do a linkage on it and I won't be able to get it to fit by miracle again, so I need one with a proper fit. BTW the one I got was from Performance Products and I believe it's an AGLA.

I've got one ordered from Rennbay. I'll let you know about the fit when it arrives.

My Alan Gun Leather (AGLA) boot was very tight on the retaining clip, but once on it fit perfect.

Soak the lower boot in warm water for about 30 seconds then carefully stretch it over the clip. After it is on, let the boot sit in the sun for a while and it will shrink a little tighter.

fitting it on the ring is not the issue I solved that; the problem was trying to snap the ring back into the console... The lip stops it from gripping onto the console.

Mine fit. You can check the tutorial on them at www.rennbay.com . They are NOT leather but made from vinyl, but they fit.

AGLA is awesome. I bought mine through Pelican and it is schweet. Check your inner boot while you're there - if it gets torn it'll allow hot air from the exhaust up through the hole and it'll dry out your leather.

Hmm, I don't remember what I put on mine. I thought it was Wheelskins brand, correct me if I am wrong. But it fit fine. However, if Travis says his will fit I would believe him. He is tha man.
