Floor Mats
Anyone have suggestions of where to find a set of black floor mats for my 86 944 turbo?
Even better...anyone have a set for sale?
Thanks,
Chuck

Isn't Lloyds still out there somewhere?
I want fitted black mats that say PORSCHE in red in the Porsche font. That seems to be impossible to find anymore. Add me to the list of "Mat Wanters"

The quality of the factory mats has gone way down, you cant get the cool black ones with the red PORSCHE script on them anymore.

They are expensive. They do not wear as well as some of the aftermarket mats do. But they are correct and original. They look the best.
Ohh! And they come in a very cool Porsche box!
Performance Products
If you get their catalog they do a 20% off sale about every six months.

My girlfreind got me some really cool mats, high quality, and they would embroider anything on them. Don't know what they cost, but the name was GGBailey.com
Edit: Without a doubt the best floor mats i have ever had in a vehicle.

Lloyds should still be available and they are very nice. I received a set for Christmas and they are absolutely first rate with nice quick release buckles and thick plush carpeting. Cost was about $115.

I have the Performance Products ones that say PORSCHE on them I bought last year. I also just bought a set of Lloyds for the other car.
I dont think you will find original mats with the big fat PORSCHE across them in different carpet color. I do have an extra set though that are black and have the PORSCHE in tan across the front. Id say they are 8 out of 10.
The mats from Performance Products are decent but I dont like that backing as well as the Lloyds. The PP ones have like a soft rubbery backing and the mats arent quite as thick.
The Lloyds ones are very nice. I got mine from AJUSA and had them stitched in Turbos and edged. Heres the Lloyds:
If someone wants my original black set of 951 mats, I'll take any reasonable offer.

The Lloyds are very good. I have plain black Lloyds matts. Very durable and thick.
Oi--That is one SWEET looking black interior. What do you use to get it so fresh looking??

Get a catalog from Tweeks. They sell the Lloyds mats in two thicknesses and in the latest catalog they have the original factory mats available again in many colors with a contrasting PORSCHE logo on them. Black mats have a logo in dark grey. Tweeks are priced lower than Performance on these mats. Their latest catalog price is around $125.00 for a set of four.
