I thought all old 924's came with such a hood support. Not sure when they switched to the pumps like we have in 944's... I think 924S already has them...

They switched sometime midstream in 83. I know two 83 944 owners that have the support, and others that have the shocks.

I know this has been asked before, but who is selling replica 924 vented nose panels? Anyone? I mean ones that look just like this car. It is very very nice (my .02)

my 81' 924 has the support only
my 83' 944 has the support and the shocks

i don't quite understand the hood in the pic.
these had the hood duct...right?
is that like a two part filter???one part is stuck to the hood??

The intercooler is mounted right under the hood scoop. I believe the box infront of the alternator is the airbox.

It's not very cool since it supports one side. The hood sags to the side. You can tell in the picture.
