Thx for the tip ACG.

VarioCam system alters valve timing by using camshaft chain tension to switch the intake camshaft between two positions. VarioCam was designed primarily to increase torque and power through the rev range.

Here's a link i don't know why i didn't post it last night.

Thx all!

Did you retofit Variocam to your S2 or swap in a 968 engine?
The 3.0 liter S2 engine did not have Variocam.

You are correct RPM. I would like to apologize for the incorrect information. I was thinking that it was a variocam because my 968 is and i wasn't thinking correctly at the time i posted the info. It actually says 16v Ventilator (sp) on the side and not variocam. I will try and get this fixed in the autotrader ad if possible.

Once again sorry for the confusion and thanks for pointing that out to me.

Wait, what is your paint code????? Is that Zyclam Pearl Effect ???? I dont remember a burgandy for the 1991 model year. Zyclam was the only one i can think of. Does your paint change colors in light? (somewhat)

Disregard this if your paint is not original.

Tony, you sure are a paint code junkie..

Nothing bad about that, it's just amazing how much information you seem to have gathered about different Porsche colours.

LOL Tony... I looked at those pics and they just like my color. The Zyclam-Red. It's my car twin! (Aside from the interior color)

Tom,

The paint code sticker is unreadable unless there is another one besides the sticker in the engine compartment. Yes it is the orginal paint.

As for the color it does change color a bit sometimes it looks burgandy and sometimes it looks a little purplish depends how you look at it and the sunlight. I have never heard of the color your referring too. What is the Zyclam Pearl Effect?

Thanks,

Ken
