Default Coolant resevoir

I have been reading this board for a while and this is my first post and question. Has anyone found something that's actually cleans the coolant resevoir tank. I have just completed the water pump and belts replacement on 83 944 and would like to clean this tank before putting in new coolant.

Thanks Reed

If it is yellowed, I think that is just aged plastic and can't be cleaned.

A replacement tank online is typically about $80 depending on where you go. They show up on Ebay new from time to time, usually going for slightly less.

If you want to get rid of any rust stains you can remove it and try CLR, just make sure you rinse it well, before installing it again.
