I would almost have to guess that it was repainted. Rational people didnt buy the 968 let alone have the nuts to order one in that color combo. LOW miles though. I guess the guy didnt want to be seen in public with it all that much.

Back off guys! My girlfriend is already bidding on it -- she think the color combo matches her lipstick well. (And apparantly, I've already been designated to be the mechanic for the car....)

Yep, 'chestnut brown' is supposed to be red, like Amazon Green is blue... must be a German humour thing.

Here's another chestnut brown interior - works much better with silver exterior

Man, thats not red on red, thats red on PINK!!!! Puke. With this color combo,I'd value his car at no more than $10k,.............................................................unless you're into pink.

Well, I'd drive it. Anyone want to buy me a 968? I'll let you make fun of me to your heart's content, and I'll even pose for pics to supplement the fun-making.

Well at $15000 it probably went for a fair price. It's in good shape and for about $2k you could change the color in the interior. Of course if you wanted GT3 seats like ALex has, then add some more dinero.

Alex, how wide is the bottom of the GT3 seat. I was looking at the GT3 or Recaro RS-XL for my wide butt.

Out of all the killer colors they offered the 968's in, why get red w/red interior?? Makes no sense!

Still, a 10-year-old Porsche for $15k is pretty decent!

Man, I WISH that was my interior!

That pic was from one of the 993 forums... mine are just the vanilla sports seats.

Nah, we were willing to go as far as $14K, but not any higher. If the seller was local, we would have paid $15K. But the seller lived in the Northwest, the car was in Florida, and he was going to be in Florida this week only. I'm in Boston, so I would have had to fly to Florida on this Friday (last minute airfare) and close the deal in cash -- all told, the cost of going closing the deal added nearly $2K to the car. Too bad...

Strip the interior, put a couple of black seats and a black dash in, you're good to go.
