Hell, I don't even like red cars. I prefer blacks and blues and at worst a
pretty burgandy. But red and yellow? Man, I'm in my own personal
budget Porsche hell! LOL
Unless someone is willing to change the color of the rims for me,
I'll have to stick with them like this for a while. I just have to stay away
from McDonalds parkinglots otherwise I'll be mobbed by kids (and their
cute soccer moms...)

I really wanted STFU 924 but the tards in Springfield didn't like the FU
part. I told them some BS about the ST is short for Stuttgart and FU was
short for something I made up on the spot, and 924 was the model.
(yes they actually called me to ask what it stands for), And I almost got
the plates, but they chickened out last second and offered me up PRCH924.
I'm going to try again for STFU 914 on my little teener when I can make
her road worthy again.
All of this is so terribly sad since I've seen FAHQUE and QUEEFE and some
others in different languages that the state didn't catch (sigh). So much
for my attempt at computer based vulgarity....
Raven, I'm glad you didn't give up on your car...last I read you were having
some major problems and considering retiring the 44. So far I've had no
issues that the (non-bent) McDonalds wheels didn't cure. I am also leaning
towards anthricite grey by the way....the aftermarket wheels I was
considering purchasing were thin 5 point 17" stars in anthricite grey, but
they also costed as much as I paid for the whole care after you add up
rubber and labor. So maybe I'll refinish these wheels myself or have my
buddy at the tire shop get me a quote.

Yes, the thought had crossed my mind...and has crossed since. Its just so expensive i haven't been able to drive it in so long. But, I keep telling myself that soon, I may be able too. I get to fix my clutch this weekend, and then hopefully here in a couple weeks I can do my timing...

HEY- That's my old License Plate!!!
At least it's the right color 924S..
You may want to check if there are any outstanding warrants associated with that plate.. j/k

I really like those wheels on the 924S - but I would also choose anthracite or darker as well.. The yellow is so... well.. YELLOW!
BTW- I refinished my PD's for less than 30 bucks, labor intensive, some cleaning involved. But well worth the price of admission. Do it yourself.
I used a Krylon heavy duty metallic silver paint and I feel they look much better then the Wurth's original color. Cheaper too- about 5 bucks a can at Wal-Mart- I used 5 cans for 2 coats on 5 wheels and 8 center caps.

Allow me to chime in late. Refinish that yellow yourself as chris says. I did mine with Rustoleum mettalic silver and clear. The clear slightly deadened the brilliance ofthe flake and they came out perfect. I am upgrading to 16" PD's with full polish and colored center caps. I am thinking of selling my stock 15" PD's. Maybe someone will want them here if I post about them in a couple of weeks.

I'm keeping my 15" Phone Dials for "winter wheels", so I'm still going
to need to replace the one bent one. I might even just look into a
complete set if the price is right.
Chris, man, small world. It's weird that I get your plates right after
you leave town!
I doubt I'll be lucky enough to get PRCH 914 when I register that one.

Nah, hang them on your wall or something. My grandfather had his plates
dating back to the 1920s hanging in the garage. It would be cool to have
a series of Porsche plates.
