Default suspensión 944 year 83

Hello, I want to put the hardest rear suspension on my 944, my 944 is from the year 83, are they the same as the 2 series from 85?

Early and late shock fitments are not the same.

Nope...not even close...Porsche changed all the suspension components to their own design from the VW parts closet in the second half of 1985. There have been folks on here that have changed over to the later model suspension, But it entails lots of work, time and expense...The rear suspensions of our '83's are very close to the VW Thing, I think, since they both take the same half-shafts. The later cars take a 19" one, and our take about a 16-1/2 " one. Are you planning to make this a track car? Just wondering...
