Default Jet Hot coating?

Ok I did a search and all I came up with is that Jet Hot is located somewhere in PA. I could not glean any contact info for them and the website www.jet-hot.com does not seem to be up at the moment. So Has anyone here had their exhasut coated buy these guys? If So What do you think of the process and how expensive is it? Also anyone know where to get a hold of them?

What other coatings are out there and How much do these help? The problem with the search is it brings up SOOOOO many threads you have to wade through to find one reference to what you are searching for. Sorry to all who have been through this before.

Default Re: Jet Hot coating?

I had my Bursch test pipe coated by them. $90 with me dropping it off and picking it up. This was a few years ago though. The coating still looks like it did when it was first done so I can say that I am happy with it. I could dig up my receipt which probably has their contact info on it although I found it on their website.

IPSC, I do not know what part of NC that you are in, but Ian had some parts done here in Charlotte at Airbourne Coatings and he seamed very happy with the price and service.

My exhaust headers on my '87 are jet hot coated, look nice and seem to be holding up well. Its money pretty well spent, IMO.

I've had several set of hedders JET-hot coated. I think its worth the money, especially if you drive alot, or plan on keeping the car for a long time. They polish just like aluminum. See pic....

Try Swain Technology http://www.swaintech.com

Dan Swain has been doing performance coatings for over 25 years and is a former racer. He and his staff are great people. Their turn-around is usually quite good too, unlike many in the industry.

Swain makes their own coatings and their White Lightning thermal barrier coating is way better than what you'll get from Jet Hot or AirBorne. It's much thicker and it's a true thermal barrier unlike the others that are little more than ceramic paint. When I pulled the NA engine out of my G20 (with Jet-Hot coated header) and replaced it with a turbo engine with exhaust manifold, turbine housing, and J-pipe coated with Swain's White Lightning, my underhood temps with the turbo were noticeably LOWER than when NA with the Jet-Hot coated header.
