That would be the Euro NA plastic bumper strip. The Euro 951/S2 plastic bumper strip is about twice that much.

Yeah, crazy isn't it? Just because of the tow hook.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Brendan: Hahahah That's hilarious I was just thinking the exact same thing!! Hey if I score even close to Randy or Ian I'll be happy, they have anally retentive clean cars.

Rubber strip: 944online says that the Euro TURBO rubber strip is no longer available. That means I have to source a wrecker - in europe!! Preferable outside England as those suckers will tax your toenails off, not to mention shipping.

Tal Stripper: I'm using the TAL strip aircraft paint remover. I find it works best if you leave it on for a few hours. and use a wideblade razor to scrape it off once it's dried.

FibreGlass RS spoiler: Yeah I'll post photos when It's done - but like I said it will be a prototype AND it will be a litte different from the real RS spoiler. Namely it won't be as tall. I think the real RS spoiler looks a teeny bit rice. Mine wont. It'll look more like an normal S2/968 spoiler only a little higher and adjustable.

By the way, I didn't reinforce the blanked out sidemarker with any metal - but it's solid as hell. What I WILL do is put a 2 mm layer of Poly-filler on top, which is very flexible. This will prevent it from cracking the paint if it comes loose.

I can't repeat this enough: what is this obsession with U.K. suppliers for Porsche parts? Can you say Germany? They are German parts, you know! Mittelmotor has the 951 rubber strips new for 155.17 Euros. They're super cool to deal with and won't ream you on taxes or shipping, or if you like, they have used 951 bumpers as well for 197.41 Euros. Plus they have a cool online catalog in English to boot.

You're welcome. Actually, the catalog lists the bumpers new at that price. Used are 73.28 Euros for both kinds. Perhaps you could even get a German 'lister to ship it to you via Deutche Post for less than a regular courier.

http://www.mittelmotor.de/english/startenglish.htm

And then click on the wording to the left in red that says "The 944 catalog is online!"

Select "944" from the list of Porsche models in the menu to the left.

Select option "4.8 body, interior"

Select option "4.82 bumper" and you will get an exploded diagram of the front and rear Euro bumpers with hyperlinked numbers to the part descriptions and prices in Euros.

Let me know if you're still having trouble with it.

The tal strip is not too bad. It's the FILLER or Paint dust particles when you use the surface prep disc. That stuff is killer.

Lose the rubber strip and go with the full clean cover. Also, no "Turbo RS" badging or I'll do something weird to your hamster...

I've already got the badges Skip and they're going on the car! :P

Hey, if someone took a 944NA and put a turbo in it - I would not call rice if they put a "turbo" badge on the rear.

So in my case...
