Not sure on HP for 2.8L stroker NA. I was looking for 200hp

I installed an S2 transmission, rebuilt by Kevin Gross, into my 924S (early car mounts) and it works great! The mounting brackets bolt right up. I made zero modifications.

I'm not sure if 5th gear is any different between an 933NA trans and an S2, but 5th seems pretty tall in the S2 trans. I know the 924S has a 5th that's better for the track, but my 924S ended up having a regular 944NA trans in it, so I never got to compare them... It must have been swapped at some time in the past. I built my car as a commuter so the differences in gearing were of little consequence.

The 944S2 got a taller 5th gear to help Porsche meet US CAFE requirements. Swapping in a shorter 944 S/Turbo 5th gear is a popular, and easy, option. Conversely, the taller S2 5th is popular swap for 951s with LS engines, where the lower cruising RPMs are appreciated.
