Kevin, thank you, will determine on the dyno but for now, your rebuilt 944 is going into the race car. Then can search for an S2 although my transmission mounts are for 83 to 85.5., Can an S2 be installed in a 1983 chassis?
Not sure on HP for 2.8L stroker NA. I was looking for 200hp

I'm not sure if 5th gear is any different between an 933NA trans and an S2, but 5th seems pretty tall in the S2 trans. I know the 924S has a 5th that's better for the track, but my 924S ended up having a regular 944NA trans in it, so I never got to compare them... It must have been swapped at some time in the past. I built my car as a commuter so the differences in gearing were of little consequence.
