Who drives their 944 every day?

Mine's always been a daily driver. For several years it was about 45 miles/day. When I changed jobs 3 years ago it was reduced to 10 per day (including snow days). It has been a very reliable car (205K miles now). I do maintain it well. I have also upgraded to a copper/brass radiator after my 3rd factory plastic/aluminum rad went (cracks in the plastic at the crimp joint). It's on the 3rd clutch (1st two were rubber centers failing). I would also upgrade to the later water pump style (using the belt guard) at the earliest opportunity.

My car was kept in the garage most of the winter, but now that the weather is warming up, I am driving it every day. I drove the car every day year-round until about 1.5 years ago. It makes a fantastic daily driver, as long as the maintenance is up-to-date.

My 86 951 is now my daily, for anything, anywhere, anytime, anyplace Total I think I do like 40 miles a day for work.
Ive done about 3000 miles this month, my first month/5 weeks of ownership.

I drive mine every day....
OK, maybe once a week...
Alright, alright, once a month....
Or is that once a year? I really do need to change that license tag though. Had the new ones for two months and she hasn't been out from under the cover long enough to scrape off the old and stick on the new.
I gotta get out more often.

I would drive mine everyday except my ins. only allows 8k miles a year. I took my car out two weeks ago didn't want to stop driving, but after 1200 miles in two weeks I had to put her back again. If I wasn't restricted milage you bet I'd drive it everyday.

I've never heard of that!?! Do they make you send in your mileage at the end of every year?

I drive my 924S every day. use it to get to work (26 miles each way) and home from school (22 miles each way).
I only had a problem with it on a road trip....spun bearing = bad.

I drive her on the average, 100 - 150 miles per week.
I try to do preventative maintenance, and she's been the best trooper of a car that I have ever had.
Just have to replace a few things, lik a leaking Clutch master cylinder, but then, it is the original!

I have driven both of my 944's every day. My current 944 is my daily driver even durring winter in upstate New York. It doesn't do to bad with snow tires. Currently my wife is driving it on an average of 35+ miles per day as I am in Ireland. Surprised at all Porsches I have seen in the last 3 weeks.

I had planned to insure her for the whole summer and beyond, however I took on job where the head office is a 45 minute drive and 30km one way trip. Not only that, but I may be sent to the interior of the province this summer, which would rack up the miles, and bring on problems sooner than I am prepared to deal with them. That's why I'm getting a more fuel efficient beater than my retarded Olds.
Don't worry, I'll drive the 944 as much as I can this summer.

Well, my '89 S2 was stored in the underground parking garage for most of the winter (and that was after it spent 3 weeks in the shop getting the head pulled)...
But, now that my '87 Jeep Cherokee "ski bitch" recently blew it's head gasket at 202K miles (now have to pull the head on that one)... I'm driving the S2 every day. And, I drive a few hundred miles a week.
But, the weather has been beautiful here in Seattle the last few weeks, so I've been loving it!
My new 2004 Volvo V70R order doesn't come in for three months, so I presume I'll be driving it daily all summer, after which it will be relegated to "track ****" duty.
