contact Eli at pelican he has an issue with them as we speak. There is a thread he started on the 996 board, maybe you could get the details of his issue and use one argument for credit.

The last time they sold one of those on there, the reserve was $1500. This will be the same or more, no doubt.

I know of a 968 hatch for $1000.

Are you interested?

Interested yes, married yes
A good deal, just too far(shipping/crating would kill me!) and more than I got laying around. I will just add this to my Christmas wish list.
But thank you anyway.

Well, I should have known better, but didn't check/search the board first. Ordered a replacement sunroof panel from them in October. Received 11/09/05. The edge where the seal fits was deteriorating and it had cracks on the corners. Called and JoeC said he would take a better look at the panel next time and send me a replacement.

After Thanksgiving, and not receiving the replacement, I called him to "remind" him. The replacement arrived today and it is in worse shape than the 1st. Additionally, the packing slip reflected that I owe them for shipping the replacement panel.

I've sent him pics and hope to resolve this without going another route. I guess we'll have to see...

Hmmm...interesting thread i am kind of suprized to hear this. I have no relation to GAD and only delt with them once so my experiance with them is limited. A few weeks ago I bought a turbo rear valance for my N/A from them 2 weeks ago.

I saw it on ebay and called them. Never bid I waited untill auction was over and it did not sell. I then called and was able to talk them from $250 plus shipping down to $200 including shipping to northern NJ. The guy i spoke to on the phone said it was in great shape exept for some paint blemishes where the wheels would kick up junk from the road anyway.

When it came in from UPS it was packed well and just as the described. I was expecting to have to pay and get it painted before i put it on but after compounding it out it looks pritty damn good. The only issue i have is that they were supposed to send the mounting hardware which was not in the box, i called and they said they would ship some up, which i find no big deal as all the hardware is is some bolts (which cannot be so expensive) right?

maybe i was just lucky though. I am sorry to hear all these horror stores about them.

I bought a Valence from them about a year ago, they didnt give me any problems even sent the hardware. They did send me the two small front skirt pieces from the 951 that wear torn up and not usable but they were free so I cant really complain. I guess it's luck of the draw. If anyone knows where I could get my hands on a 968 temp sensor for where the clock went in the 944 I would really appreciate it.

When I have called them in the past I have gotten poor service and 1/2 a** answers to pricing and parts availability. Rarely did I get return calls when I LVM.

I will, without a doubt deal with DCAutomotive now since rixter is there. He is an attentive owner and will go the extra mile. You can find him over on the 928 board quite regularly.

Dumb question here...

Is it PAP or GAD that Joe Cogbill ownes?? I was under the impression it is PAP (that recently moved to Powell, Oh).
I bought a Momo wheel from GAD last week, knowing full well their rep for shoddy service, it arrived on time and as expected. Lucky I guess.
But if Joe Cogbill ownes GAD, I am completely and uncermoniously done with them.
