Question South Florida Wrenching Group?

Was looking at the KCWS web site, cool, looks like a great bunch of guys. I was just wondering of the possibility of forming a similar group here in the Dade/Broward county area? I know this might be a bit selfish as I am not looking forward to the clutch replacement myself in a week or so but still it's an idea.
Whatch think south Fl guys?

I will be moving to Tampa in June. I am a founding member of the Texas Greaseslingers. I hope to open a chapter in Florida once I am settled.
Stay tuned.

A Tampa Bay group sounds good to me.
I'll definately be a learner not a teacher.

Keep in touch PeteL

944-S-Type....Yup, a "Sparky", avionics bench repair and install.
Pete L. Welcome to Florida, thank you for the offer of help, will take you up
on it if this gets off the ground.
Brian, that doesn't sound like to serious/difficlt a problem, we should be
able to remedy that with no problems.
Travis, sounds good, will be in touch.

Others???

Thumbs up

Hi Bill,

Keep me posted, I'm up in Boca. Though my schedule is a bit erratic, I'd like to lend a hand when I can.

I've done my clutch, torque tube, dropped rear suspension & transaxle, control arms, by myself. I've had to turn to Black Forest for water pump and belts (and top end rebuild) and sundry other things for lack of knowledge, confidence and certain tools, but I'll be glad to help out here.

I will be arriving in Tampa late June, and it will be a little while before I will be ready to get going on the car. The good news is the car is not the daily driver, that leaves more time to work on it, and the list is long.
I will post when I am in town.

It would be a good to have some friends to assist on some jobs.

I have a garage full of tools and spare parts and a decent mill and lathe, with limited access to a full CNC machine shop. If you folks want to get into this, I am more than willing to help out with what I have. But my time is limited.

The drive to Miami is not bad, I commute to Fort Myers every weekend. That is halfway there, if you need anything from this coast let me know.

Welcome PeteL I'm over here in St.Petersburg. We had a g2g few months back and I'm planning on having one on the 25th of April and around every 3 months. Gives us time to meet new people, talk, drive our gfs or wifes nuts, and have a bbq at Fort Desoto also during the warmer months it's a nice place to go swimming. Most of the Floridian don't go swimming in the winter guess I'm just special.
