Default 1976 924 DP cargo shooting brake

Finally got around to posting these images this car was for sale a while ago from a reputable independent

Porsche dealer.
Never seen one before although I have seen this conversion on the 944 from DP

That might be my favorite 924 yet. I dig it.

I don't know who did the coachwork on this car, but it is a quite admirable job. It looks about right for what it is, and I like it..even if it does remind me of the "breadvans" of other past lineages of the 60's. (Maserati being one).

I take a lot of road trips in my 924s, especially camping trips with a lot of gear like tents and all..
These cars fit a heck of a lot of stuff but more space would be better..

I have been thinking about how I make a sort of fiberglass capper like what you put on pickup trucks to replace the rear hatch glass of a 924/44 whatever into more of a cargo area, that could easily be removed and swapped back to the original hatch glass..

Im thinking it could be made by using a hatch frame and then a fleece blanket with struts to make the shape and then fiberglass it..

Ever heard of it being done?
