The KC Wrenching Society will be hosting a weekend get together at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri over the weekend of September 24 - 26. The Lake of the Ozarks is centrally located in Missouri and has tons of great twisty winding roads and hills, a wide range of hotels and restaurants to fit all budgets, and all the faux "hillbilly" souveniers you would ever want!

Proximity-wise, its about 3 hours southwest of St. Louis, 2.5 hours southeast of Kansas City, 4.5 hours northwest of Tulsa, 7 hours northwest of Memphis.

Dan P has graciously authorized the use of the name "944Fest" along with "Rennlist" - forming "RennFest" for this event, and I am hoping we can achieve the same "spirit" that Dan's events have. This event is open to ALL Porsche enthusiasts, so thats why this is now the "RennFest" instead. We hope to see LOTS of Rennlisters! If you have any interest in attending, please let us know, either by repsonding here or dropping me a line at sh944@rennlist.com.

[EDIT] We'll be coming up with a different name, as Peachstate Region has been using the name "Rennfest" for a quarter of a century... so we will now be known as the RennTreffen, which is, of course, the German equivalent of "RennFest"

btw: It is right on the Lake of the Ozarks. There is lots to do in the area if you want to turn it into a full blown family vacation. There are several resorts in the area including Tan-Tar-A and Lodge of the Four Seasons.

If you are okay with us calling it "Rennfest", then thats the name we'll go with! We want to make this an event for ALL Porsche enthusiasts, even tho we have a natural proclivity for the 944 cars.
