My paint prep is coming to completion soon (damn weather...its STILL cold here in Pa).....my question is... has anyone repainted black and painted the window trim the same gloss as the body....or should I leave it flat black....same with the rear hatch? I'm thinkin it might look better gloss so I might just mask the glass and paint the tim with the rest of it.....any thoughts????




I kinda gave up on before and after pics of the job.....too many stages went by so I plan to upload the finished pics when done....

Might look cheesy. Try PhotoShop first.

Iv'e seen quite a few 944's with the window trim painted to match the rest of the car and it looks quite nice. I don't have any pics though. Try what starr said and P-shop it to get an idea but IMO it make the lines blend much smoother.

here is mine before i repainted the black trim on....i didnt like it so i repainted it. As for painting the rubber wing, i wouldnt cuz it will just flake off unless you do some serious modifications.

A lot of 968's had the area between the doors painted body color, look for pictures on the web , you will find it both ways,not sure why. The rear wing is so soft I wound not paint it , even with flex additive.

No I am not painting the wing....I meant the flat black trim around the windshield and hatch not the wing.....
