All this posting of house photos has made me want to post one of mine. i don't have a current exterior shot (did a lot of restoration work last year), but here is a shot of part of the living room and dining room, circa some time last month. As you can tell, I'm not afraid of colour.

Ok, I'll bite.

The house that I bought was on the market for less than two hours when I went to look at it, and I made an offer within four. In that time, there were already ten people who had made appointments to look at it. That's the only way you end up getting a decent house there. If it's on the market for more than a day, there's a problem with the house.
I ended up getting it for $5k less than the asking price, which was $165k.
Only a two car garage, but 3 bedrooms on a 3/4 acre wooded lot, with bunches of extras (hot tub, slate pool table, new 20'x20' back deck, finished basement, ect.)

Nothing as nice as Dan's new house, but it's my first. : )

Greg - that's unbelievable! We've had our house on the market for a month now and I've had one person come by. The other houses in the neighborhood are in the same boat too. Could be the price of new homes is just too cheap here in Texas. Of course you can't get that much land in a sub division around here without going custom. My new digs are on an 85 foot lot - and that's considered VERY wide in my part of town!

Jeremy - the interior of mine is a similar color scheme (less the blue).

dan - Thanks

Keith - it is like that here to. If a house has been on the market more than a week there is a reason. We looked at one house that was terrific until I noticed the commuter train tracks not more than 10 feet from the back fence. All in all, not great.
