Good choice. Every man should make his wife as happy as you did Keith. Especially ones that put up with our car BS.

Ain't that the truth! I did get a few concessions from the wife...
1) Bought the house on Valentine's Day so I'm covered there for life.
2) I get to spend what ever I want on car parts for as long as we own the house (not that there is anything left over each month - but that's another story).
3) And last but not least, I got to pick the brick (don't go there - it was a tough choice).

Whoops - almost forgot...
Called the builder on Thursday and had them add a golf cart roll up door to the side of the garage. Should add much needed extra ventalation for those hot summer days and a pretty cool spot to drink a few beers with the fellas. The garage has two single doors but one bay is double deep. I also had them add a sink to the garage - along with ethernet, phone, and cable wiring for those long lazy days when ya just wanna be in the garage and close to the car.

Congradulations on the new house Matt. We sold our first place for more than double the purchase price. The real estate market in the NYC area is crazy. Here is a pic of where we live now.

Default Congrats on the new house !

Looks like everything is going well with the move to Illinois.

Looking forward to this summer, theres a number of us living in the suburbs that we should definately be planning a few backyard BBQs and Saturday/Sunday fun runs. Theres some interest on the Pelican Midwest board about a Spring Fling drive on the weekend of the 24/25th of April.

Just how much are we paying you to play with boats Pete?

Just kidding - what ever it is it isn't enough. That's one fine looking garage you got there. Of course, Shiner Boch is an import in Florida you know.

Yeah, I owe an update. At Christmas (when I was home) we were talking about just me going to Florida and the girls staying in Texas. But we are all going now.
I am going to open the Florida version of the Texas Greaseslingers.
Sad to be leaving, but happy the whole family is going.
Know anyone that needs to buy a nice house in Beaumont?

That's a great looking house Pete. Congratulations!

I've always told Becki if we ever move from Houston that Tampa will be on our short list. To quote her response to your house: "Oh wow!".

Well it's not a nice color shot, but here is an artist rendition of our new place.

Pete - it appears that Navy pay went up since the people I know retired :>)

Drive went well, took about 14 hours from 8 AM to 10 PM 0800-2200 for Pete. I have a whole car full of tools and spare parts for the convertible (just in case!) Performed flawlessly, I was shocked.

I think Missouri has become my favorite state for a few reasons:

1) it is really beautiful there, serisously, a really nice top-down drive through the mountains.

2) Cruise control set at 90mph and getting passed! At one point I hit 105 and there were STILL people passing me. To cross the entire state from Joplin to St. Louis only took 3 hrs 10 min. WOW.

Keith - you guys are starting to make my place look like a shack! That is a million dollar home up here! When George comes up for Road America I am sure I can show him what 300K buys, you guys will be shocked.
