Default Picture request - rear hatch lock latch mechanism

I need a picture of where the arms from the rear hatch latches goes to the lock mechanism (including the hatch motor) trying to figure out how to attach the motor and having a little trouble. Thanks

You mounted the motor right? There should be a cable from the linkage where the key turns, it has a metal end on it. This should push down into the white plastic piece on the motor. So when the motor turns, it spins the white piece and pulls on the cable which will open the latches.

damn, i would but I JUST took mine out.

The long arm with the longest hooky bit (the one with the circlip) goes on the driver's side bottom of the keythingy. The other arm with the shorter hook and no circlip just pops into the top part of the passensger side of the locking mechanism.

clear as mud?

the arm with the little circlip on it is also the side where the hatch release motor's arm attaches too.

okthis is the deal. the motor was there already, but was not hooked up, and i had to replace the lock, took it apart and forgot how it went. There is like two of those plates that you can stick the hooked rods in from the latches. one up against the wall of the car and one separated about half an inch out from the wall. The one half an inch out has a tab on one side, that seems to turn the inside one or something. Which plates do which rods go to, including teh motor one? thanks.

I can snap a shot of mine but I don't know if it'll help. Mine doesn't have any linkage from the lock cylinder. Just a microswitch that triggers the electric motor. Porsche decided to make it all electronic on the later cars.
Which reminds me, does anyone have a microswitch they want to sell?

Hey Pete-
Not sure if I told you this before, but when I got my S2, the microswitch didn't work, and I couldnt open the trunk with a key. My mechanic showed me where the connection is (wrapped in a foam outer layer, right near the lock), sprayed contact cleaner in there, removed the sponge (it trapped moisture, causing the circuit to corrode and not work)--and now my motor works again.
Give it a try--sorry for the hijack!

The motor works fine but the switch seems to be bad. I disconnected it and jumpered the wires and the motor worked. I can open the hatch with the inside release but not with the key.

Here are some pics, but I've probably got a bad angle. Lemme know what you specifically need.

Zoomed...

If these aren't the right ones, tell me what you want and I'll have pics of them by late tomorrow morning at the latest.

Redid the angles 'cause I knew I'd have to anyway...
