Default Mystery gauge wires not in wiring diagrams

I gutted the factory electrical system from my early 85 944. I am going to put in a new fuse and relay block with all new wiring. However i am keeping much of the original gauge wires, just hooking them up as needed.

I've pored over the factory electric diagrams and can't identify these wires. Compounding the issue is the diagrams say there should be wires of other colors that I don't have

Any ideas?

from combination gauge (far left big gauge):
- red/black
- purple/black
- blue/black (maybe oil pressure or gas gauge, diagram suggests multiple blue/black wires but i only had 1)

From tach:
- green/red (to junction Z-III-6??)
- yellow green (to 14-pin connector, pin 11; appears this goes to Cruise control box)

*edit*
closer look found the blue yellow is coolant temp sender wire...for whatever reason it runs from the sender to 9pin to the tach and then to the gauge..??
