My first NA, an '87 924S w/ 121K. I switched the plug wires to their right location and drove it home (300+ miles). Paid $1000.

My first turbo, '86 951 w/ fuchs. Beat @ 250K miles and salvaged title but boosted like h#11! I drove it home 100+ miles and passed many a car on the way. Paid $3250

2500 dollars for an 88 944 S with 80k miles. Just has 3 dents and some rock chips. Interior is great. Needed ball joints.

Thats it!
(well, doing belts and water pump as a precaution)

My son bought his 1984 for $800.00 6 months ago. He ended up replacing the clutch, brake lines, fuel lines, and a couple of other small things. The interior just needs front seats which he bought on e-bay for $200. It runs super and only has 100,000 miles on it. We are doing the body on it now and are about 2 weeks away from painting it. The car will stand him about $3500.00 buy the time he's done. It should be a nice car when its finished. I hate to think what it would stand him if we didn't do most of the work.

$5500 for my 83 and it had 85,000 miles on it. Its been about 5 and 1/2 years now and I've invested around $3,500 into her, and its been worth every penny, just hit 91,000 miles . I know, I know I need to drive it more lol.
