Default Pilit Bearing Insertion

Hey guys I was curious, how far does the drive shaft need to insert into the pilot bearing for proper insertion? Thanks guys. I assume roughly .50inch?

For sure that is in the ball park. Can you measure the tip of input or the bearing itself?

iirc stock 944 pilot bearing is 13mm deep so 1/2" is pretty close.

Measured a few 944 drive shafts we have and based on the ghost marks, it seems it rounds out to 12.40mm or .488" from the end of the pilot bearing nub to where the ghost line is below. The ghost line being where the pilot bearing stopped contacting the nub.

HTH.
