Default Will I be hurting anything by removing the....

...fuse for my ABS? I would like to see how well the car stops w/OUT ABS- is this a good way to find out? I'd like to make a few runs w/a G-tech, both WITH & WITH OUT ABS, &, I'd like see how well the brake bias is, to find out if the rears are locking as quickly as the fronts- I want them to be pretty much dead even- many cars have the fronts locking way too early & sometimes, the rears wont lock at all, which does kind of suck- having hte fronts lock a HAIR before is best, but again, VERY CLOSE to even- I have a 33/5 bias valve & would like to play around a little- I know that removing the fuse would defeat the ABS, BUT, I don't want to mess anything up- is this possible?

Thanks
Robby

i did that in my supra and the only thing it hurt was the light always stayed on...IMO the abs works very well in these cars and is not real jumpy like most.

Hey Robby! Get everything going again? I was hoping you'd see the message about driving the Tail of the Dragon. RT930turbo and I had a great time. Wish you could have joined us!

Nope nothing will go wrong it's just like a fuse going bad. The light will be on the whole time telling you something is wrong.

Thanks for the input guys- I just want to see how it feels w/out & make sure that all 4 wheels are actually able to lock up, etc & that neither end locks up an extreme amount before the other...

Andrew- didn't see it- sounds killer though- no, I don't have anything back completely together- trying not to think about it- just been driving it like a POS lately... I'm about to order a new muffler to weld into the SFR pipe to help quieten it down- it's way too loud as-is... I knew this going in though, so I'm not upset- the SFR is awesome for what it is- A $140 Borla XR1 in the diagonal section should help a good bit...

They usually take out the fuse for skid pad sessions. You should do one at your local PCA club.

What's the reason for this? It's not like it's a traction control, that would actually change the results- I wouldn't think ABS would affect lateral acceleration on a standard skidpad at all really... any input here?
