one of the ones I have seen was at the dealership, the guy was complaining about how expensive these cars are. When I told himI did my own work, he couldn't beleive it, then he told me he'd pay me to fix his heater core cause it was leaking. I told him no, cause I haven't done it before, so I dont want to take the chance of messing it up. I wish I said yes, cause I sure could use the cash, but I don't think it was apropriate.

Twice -- one times in Los Angeles area. Noticed it only b/c I thought they looked liked funky looking 968s from the rear. There's another one parked near my parent's (northern California) -- I drive by it sometimes just to say 'hi'.

Yeah, saw my first one about 13 years ago in the work parking lot. Thought it was tre cool. Snuged down roof, wide fat tires, flares.....wow. Only took 13 years to put one in my garage so I can go down & look at it every day/night/day/night........

Eyal 951,

I'd have done it in a heartbeat and I'm a complete Porsche newbie.

If you have good mechanical and electric skills and detailed instructions, there isn't anything you can't fix.

Don't mean to sound cocky, I was definately intimidated the first time I rebuilt a 20mm gun system that fires 6000 rounds per miniute, not to mention the first time I taught it.

Well, for starters...I've seen his. Come on, it isn't like a TFYT sunroof, the cars are out there.

Now that I think about it, other than mine I have only seen a 944 S2 Cabrio three other times (outside of the Hershey swap meet) - once in the Poconos, once in Colorado, and once on a road from Las Vegas to LA.

Now on the flip side of the coin, I've only seen a S2 coupe once - while I was in Boston. (again Hershey swap meets and Porsche dealers I used to bother in Germany as a teenager do not count)

I see one every single day in my garage. Other than mine I have seen my father's and a couple others. Beautiful cars.
