Default Questions on how to use the Kricket tool.

I need to do my 15k tension since the belts are loose while I am in there. Just done the manaul rack and I planned on checking the belts belts they look pretty good just they are loose so I will need to tension them. Before I just used to tension the belt by hand then wait for the 1500-2000 mile mark have them tension at the shop for around 160$. I'm just going to retension them myself with the kricket tool since I don't have the P9201 Porsche tool. I have checked http://www.blaszakprecision.com/Belts.html on how they tension the belts. I don't have the tool yet until Monday when I pick up the kricket tool from napa. I have to remove the roller and guide for the water pump to tension but I'm not clear how you read the tension. It will probably clear up more once I get the tool afront of me. Also the part about 1mm preload on the roller and .5mm gap part I don't understand that. Also what do you guys think about it I know there is mixed feelings but I would like to hear to good and bad on this. I know that the tool is hard to get the same readings each time but it gives you a good idea at what the tension is. I don't believe that one or two lbs will do any harm if it's off by that much. I'm going to be doing this tomorrow and would like to find out as much as I can about this before I start. The only reason I take my car to the shop last time was because I didn't have the P9201 tool.

Thanks.
