Here is the curent interior with Pilot leather steering wheel ($60)
and home made Porsche horn emblem ($0).
I also replaced the Kenwood stereo and replaced with a Blaupunkt
Madison (which looked more appropriate for the car).

Current Boxster 16 inchers (no center caps). They look OEM on the 944 but I may be selling these wheels since I am not too crazy about them.

Finally the rear with the lighted center panel. I gave these away to a Rennlister.

Current rear without the panel. Notice the holes left
over by the panel and by the rear license plate being mounted
on the bumpers. I had no choice but to put plastic plugs
and painted them to match the car. Its not bad from far away
but close-up, it looks horrible.

Rear shot. The wheels are not that wide. 6 inch in front and 7 inch in rear. I want the wheels to be a little more flushed against the car. This view has the wheels a little bit inside. Maybe spacers?

Re-upholster seats.
Remove Tint
Lower the car 1 inch.

Mike. These wheels are a bargain.. Go to Autozone and find "Pilot" steering wheels. They are FULL GRAIN leather and not cheap vinyl. The ones I have are $60. They are made by Grant and Grant sells them for way more.
Pilot sells the adapter for like $16 (They are made by Grant which costs more). The adapter installed easily. I had problems with the horn but now works well. Autozone website also sells the steering wheel.

A nicer one is for $80 which has a different design and the horn button is integrated in the wheel rim.

What I did is blacked out the "Pilot" label on the horn button with a black permanent marker.
Then I took the Performance catalog and found a Porsche emblem on page?? and I cut it out very carefully.

Place the emblem on the middle of the horn button.
Get HEAVY 3M clear packing tape and wrap it around the horn button
making sure the emblem is dead center while doing this.
Now use your fingers to smooth out the tape along the edges of the horn button.
Get an Xacto knife (blade) and trim the tape around the horn button.

Voila!! you now have a nice looking emblem that is durable and cost you nothing but 30 mins. of your time.

I bought what I think is the same pilot wheel from autozone today, cost me $79 If i remember right.

It looks 1000% better than the origional, it will go on this weekend sometime.

I'm just glad that I absolutely love my 5 spoke aluminum wheels that came with this car.

I wouldn't trade them for any I have seen
