I feel bad that some vendors are not understanding and as "professional" as they should. I also understand that whoever it is is also a human being capable of making a mistake. I would LOVE to see ALL of the "unreasonable" requests made to all of the vendors posted it on a "bad customer" list, which may let us understand why some of the vendors may have a bad day....

Tifo:
Little Bobby is not to young to be a Rennlist member. I got my son a membership when he was two months old (he's now four months). John D. is going to send me a Rennlist sticker for his stroller when they come in.

Look how excited he was when I told him.

Sounds to me like he still is reputable if he's returning your money. Rude maybe, but that's not a crime.

There are two sides to every story. I agree you should have waited until you got your refund so we could hear the vednor's side too.

i'm curious. i really think it must have been a "bad day" thing as well, so, won't affect my future purchases too much but it's good to know these things.

Thats a shetty excuse. If I were ever treated that way at any business, I would never go there again.

What's going on here? Lot's of talk about giving praise where praise is due, & flames where flames are due, but I try to find some recommendations for parts sources & get nada, sip, zilch. Does anyone have experience getting regular, plain. old factory parts for cabrio weather seals/gaskets. From my very limited experience, so far, the prices vary 2X, 3X from source to source. Is this common? One source wants $370 for the same part, 941.561.519.10, that another source is listed for $105. Second example - 941.561.386.10, $247 one place - $105 the second place. What gives. Am I missing something or just a newbie?

I guess the sources I gave you didn't pan out?
Not too much call for stuff like weather stripping and not that many cabs were built so asking for cab specific seals won't get you a lot of answers.
Try another question, we'll do better next time I promise!

Dave, I apologize profusely. Yes indeed you answered & helped quickly. Although the sources you recommended didn't carry my stuff, I really appreciate the help. I'll keep digging. But, is it unusual for the prices to vary so much? If so, I'll check every dealer I can to find one with a reasonable price. If not & they all give the same price, I'll just order now & chalk it up to experience. You're right that the weather stripping isn't too popular, until the water drips on my noggin. Luis might be the only guy with lots o' cab knowledge. But I can even wash it without draping towels & that really looks bad. Thanks again.

I think one of your sources was Performance Products? They run a lot higher than anyplace else (except tweeks), even a dealer is sometimes less expensive. OTOH, there's OEM and there's aftermarket, I'd call the vendor and ask questions before ordering.
