Just wanted to thank dave . took his advice and checked my local auto parts store. i didnt really have faith in them from the start because most things i go to them for theydont have. but in their specialty tool rack, they had 12mm, and the 10 mm was sold out, and the 8 mm had one left. so i got the 8 and now im all set. was 5.34, from KD tools.. (not sure if anyones ever heard of it). picked up some phosphate free antifreeze while i was at it.

thanks for the help guys.. time to put the bolts on!

Remember to use a torque wrench on the CV bolts if you have one - they take 30 Ft-lbs or 41 N-m.

With the cheaper tools, follow the earlier mentioned advice of cleaning the recesses of the bolts really well. I too have used a hammer to tap the tool all the way into the bolt. If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy better set. The ones that I got at Pep Boys for around $10 weren't made to last. I got what I paid for.
