Default Back window plug

Does anyone have a spare rear window plug? I took the wiper out and need a little black plug. I know 944online has them but 50 bux is alot for a 2 dollar plastic piece.

Thanks.

It's not a 2 dollar plastic piece, it is a big metal mushroom shaped thing with 2 shaped rubber seals, one for either side of the glass, and a big washer and nut. $50.00 may seem steep, but if it is a factory replacement with all the parts, I'm not surprised by the price.

The plug is worth more than a rear wiper assembly.

I'm lucky. No rear wiper, no hole in the glass, and no plug!

oh sure, rub it in pete!

me thinks rennbay needs to come up with some sort plug we can use...

we need to find a cheaper alternative! duct tape's not exactly attractive on the hatch

My car has a simple rubber plug that looks and works great, but I've never seen one for sale. Those plugs with the washers and nuts seem like over kill, but it's all that's available.

Someone somewhere must make something that would fit!

A temp fix would be too use several of strips of black electrical tape and trim it into a circle.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the hole? What you want is something like this.

I remember a site where a guy made and sold these things. I think I got the link through a PCA web ring. They were about $10 in black or chrome. I'll look for it at home tonight.

Mine came stock with a black plastic plug. I used to have the metal version off of the replacement hatch I purchased (hail destroyed the old hatch), don't know where it went. They should make more of the plugs like the one on my S. Looks better IMHO.
