Default junk yards in PA

I've seen ads in the carbuyers for this place in PA with over 10,000 cars and 3 different lots. I was thinking of taking a road trip out there just to see what is there. I haven't been to a pick and pull in like 15 years. Even when I didn't need something I found good stuff.
I wish I knew of one closer but I don't mind making the drive.
I'll have to look for the name of the place, but has anyone been there???

I don't think there are any places like that left within 50-100 miles of me. Used to be a lot of fun! Be sure to post when you find the info.

I have to pickup a copy of the paper, they don't show them on-line.

There's a huuuuuge junkyard on 78 (I believe)--I pass it every time on the way to Pittsburgh. Not sure exactly what it is, but it sure is a ton of busted cars!

They have auctions at the place along 78 every now and then. I'm not sure if you need "dealer" tags or something to get in to those, though.

I still have not checked out those cars in the field. Alliquippa has one (only 2 944's and I got the non cracked Dash!) The cars are junk. I bet I have more parts in my storage than most local places. let me know if you need something in particular.

http://www.autotechplus.com/
This place is south of Pittsburgh.
I have been there and there were a few 944's
in the small lot that were in good shape.
I went up to the upper field and there was
at least 25 cars up there but in various shapes.
Might be worth a call to see what they have.

I've delt with them before, via email not in person, my experience was a good one but I'm not driving to Pittsburgh for parts when I can have stuff shipped. Wish there was someplace closer though!

there are a couple of real big u pull its up the pa turnpike's north east extension. they are all in short distance from each other...so find one and you may find them all. I haven't been up there since I was looking for the 3rd engine (and last) for the triumph so I can't comment on weather or not you'd find any porsches...but worth a look. PS if you watch the penny pincher/sell it/other classified ads you will find that they do (well atleast they did) run promotions of $25 to get in and anything you can carry out it is yours.

wow 200 acres...10000 cars...$1 dollar admission
