I removed the door panel on my 944 today and the door handle microswitch was hanging inside the door. I have never paid attention to where this fits on the handle. It does not look broke. I had the car painted and think athe body shop removed the handle and this may be the reason it is not attached. If someone has a picture of a handle with the switch attached it would help.
Thinking there are probably not many door handle pics around.

Did you search the threads on this? Quite a lot of posts about door handles and their adjustment on here.. also.;might be a Utube video on this...just sayin..

The red arrow points to the microswitch on the handle.

The blue arrow points to the metal bracket which retains the white cable.

Note: not all door handles are equipped for the microswitch.

Thanks, thats all I needed. All the work to install it and it doesn't work. Oh well, at least it is on. Thanks for the picture.

Actually that was the first time I saw that after searching many times. Same thing mine wasn’t connected and had no idea where it went. Thanks. You could just say on the front side of door handle.
