Yeah, it's a different appeal Kenny, I can see why you bought them. Personally, I'll always prefer smaller, more nimble sports cars over muscle, but will love.. just in different ways.

In fact, when I brought Lorelei back to campus, I went to a friend's house to bbq the next day. He wanted to drive it, so I said sure and we went on our way. Coming back into his driveway I said "Ok Mark, so isn't it about time I got to drive yours?" So on Sunday, I finally had the chance to take out his ~550whp '95 blown GT droptop Needless to say that full throttle through the first 3 gears will prove dancing on the pedals to keep traction, but WOW it was fun!

[EDIT:] by the way... I forgot to mention that I might be purchasing a fox body soon as a summer project car (and way to try to make money).

Aaand if you know anyone in the MD/VA/DC area looking to buy a 331 stroker fox body that put down 453 to the wheels and ran 11.89 all motor... let me know. I know a guy

No, it has nothing specifically to do with Japanese cars. Riceboy or ricer transcends origin of the car or race. Hell, there are plenty of riced up 944s out there. Photos of them are posted here all the time and almost all of us have a good laugh at them. I've seen 944 in Europe that are as bad as some Honduhs here.
I think we'd all agree the term is slang and lacks a specific defintion. Its origin came from asian cars, but I agree the term is used these days on many types of cars (with the possible exception of the Cadillac, which has its own label when tastelessly decorated).

Geo... lol, sorry about that, by import modifiers I refer to what my age refers to as "imports"... Asian cars.

Ok, that's funny.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Sienfeld episode where Kramer was using a "decorated" Caddy and wearing his Technicolor Dreamcoat jacket.
