Just Bought a 944 N/A 3 Weeks ago. Drove it for a week and heard a noise....So i got my boss to listen to it and he said its the #2 Rod Bearing .turns out its the #2 Rod Bearing.......I just got through tearing it apart and 2marrow i and gonna put the new rod bearings in and ....change the motor mounts as well anyway Nice site here and its been worth every penny

Did you spin the bearing?
Is that thing gonna need machine work on the crank?

Well my boss looked at it and said it should be fine.....the bearing was in 4 pieces but didnt mess up the crank.......although Steven Mcgown is gonna be pissed cause i couldnt get parts in time so i took his new motor mount and Power Stearing Line HAHAHA but new parts on on the way for him

Do the timing belt while you are at it. Cheaper than eight valves and a head rebuild.

all that is done....it has a new head...new timing belt....ac compressor power steering pump...motor mounts and now rod bearings....it ran great njow except the cat is clanking
